Adult Swim Lessons
If you’re an adult that has never learned to swim, you are not alone! Lots of adults learn to swim at the YMCA under the patient and skillful direction of YMCA aquatics professionals. Once you learn to swim, you’ll never feel unsafe around water, and you can enjoy the many physical benefits regular swimming can provide. We offer both beginner and intermediate options for adults.
Beginner Class- Activity Pool
Registration will open at 5am.
The beginner class is for adults who need to learn the basics of floating, gliding, breathing and kicking. No previous swimming experience is required! Class will take place in the Activity Pool, which is shallow water, only 3 feet deep.

Beginner Class- Main Pool
Registration will open at 5am.
The beginner class is for adults who need to learn the basics of floating, gliding, breathing and kicking. No previous swimming experience is required! Class will take place in the shallow end of the Main Pool, which is 3.5 – 5 feet deep.

Intermediate/Advance Class
Registration will open at 5am.
The Intermediate/Advance class is for adults who have already mastered the basics of front crawl and back stroke. Swimmers will learn more refined technique, in addition to working on breaststroke and turns. Class will be held in the Main Pool.
