Celebrate your birthday with the Y this year and give your kids the gift of memories that could last a lifetime! We offer birthday party reservations as an exclusive benefit to our members! Our birthday parties comes with use of our activity pool or rock wall for you and your closest 10 friends. Anyone 5 and under in the group must have an adult (count towards your total) in the water with them. Anyone ages 6 to 9 must have an adult on the pool deck with them. Reservation time is from 12:30-3:30. Pool Time is from 1:00-2:00. The pool will be shared between 2 parties with the pool being divided down the middle.

You will also have access to one of our party rooms for cake, presents and activities afterwards.

General Pool Rules:
-No running on pool deck
-Feet first jumps from jump zone mats-no belly flops or dives allowed
-Of the Y’s equipment, only colorful noodles and ball/basketball hoop can be used
-Slapping the noodles on the water or hitting anyone with them is not allowed
-Kids can bring their own toys, but no inflatables or water guns allowed
-Only US Coast Guard approved floatation devices can be used (lifejackets, puddle jumper, etc.)- no water wings or other floatation devices.(Will have US Coast Guard approval written on the inside)
-No pushing, dunking, hitting, or holding underwater
-Anyone ages 5 and under or wearing a life jacket must have an adult in the water with them

General Rockwall Rules:
-Must be wearing closed toed shoes to climb
-Must be wearing a harness to use to climb on Rockwall
-Only one person climbing per route at a time
-Must be at 3 years old or at least 25 pounds to climb

Parties include a 1.5-hour private room rental (30 minutes for cleanup included), activity pool access for up to 15 swimmers at a time, and full-day facility access for your guests.

Available Times:

Saturdays: 1:00–2:30 PM or 3:00–4:30 PM

Sundays: 3:00–4:30 PM

Pool Hours:

Saturdays: 12:00–4:15 PM

Sundays: 11:00 AM–4:15 PM

Important – Guest Registration:

To ensure a smooth and quick check-in, all guests must sign up as a Program Member prior to arrival. Guests can register online, call us to get signed up, or stop by the Welcome Desk in advance. Registering on the day of the party may take time away from your celebration, so completing this step ahead of time allows everyone to enjoy the party right away!

This space is designed for kids who have an understanding of DnD and are prepared to go through a campaign. This is the perfect opportunity to be with like-minded kids, learn new leadership skills, and stretch your imagination!

This is a truly accessible program where we provide helmets and a bicycle for the day. Kids will learn to balance, pedal, and gain confidence on two wheels. The class will take place outdoors so dress for the weather! this class is for youth who can not yet balance and pedal a bike.

Teen Forest Therapy Program

A free opportunity for teens ages 13–18

Discover Awe. Build Curiosity. Grow Positive Change.

In Collaboration with  Balance Psychiatric Clinic, we’re launching a new Teen Forest Therapy Program designed to help young people slow down, reconnect with nature, and explore how awe and wonder can spark curiosity about life—leading to positive choices, healthier behaviors, and stronger emotional well-being.

 Program Details

• Who: Teens ages 13–18
• When: Mondays and Wednesdays | 3:00–4:00 PM
• Length: 4 weeks
• Where: Shelton Family YMCA (adjacent to forested land)

• Community circle & check-in
• Guided forest therapy (slow wander in nature)
• Nature-based activities & reflection
• Group discussion & connection
• Food provided

Kids Thrive: YMCA Fitness & Safety Orientation

Goal: Build kids’ confidence and teach them to care for themselves safely at the YMCA.

Duration: Approximately 1 hour
