THRIVE Afterschool Program
We bring mentors, professionals, and creatives right to you for hands-on activities chosen by students. From STEM and sports to arts, this program supports your academics, builds leadership, and creates a space where you belong and can grow.
THRIVE at Jefferson Middle School
The THRIVE Afterschool Program at Jefferson Middle School offers 6th–8th grade students engaging, student-centered experiences beyond the school day. Participants have the chance to explore their interests, build new skills, and connect with peers through hands-on workshops, field trips, mentorship opportunities, and academic support.
New This Year: We are thrilled to announce that this will be our first year offering opportunities at Jefferson Middle School as well! Please be sure to select the correct school session when registering.
- Note: The Jefferson site is currently open to Jefferson students only, but students from any school are welcome to join us at the Thurgood Marshall site.

Registration is completely free.
To get started, please register for the “2026-2027 School Year” Session for your chosen school before registering for any other individual sessions.
Workshops, Field Trips, and Experiences:
Families can sign up for workshops and experiences in person at the school with YMCA Staff or register for activities listed on the program calendar by selecting the sessions down below. Be sure you are signed up for the correct school site’s calendar sessions!
